The plant is a corn-based dry-mill production facility producing ethanol, distillers dried grains, and carbon dioxide.   In a feasibility study prepared by BBI International, the proposed Marshall site was deemed an excellent choice. The most prominent advantages being the two major rail lines adjacent to the site, all utilities are at the site including sewer to the Marshall wastewater treatment system, the site is in an enterprise zone, there is an abundance of corn in the area, and all the desired community support services for the proposed ethanol plant are available within a few miles of the site in Marshall, Missouri.
