Renewable Power of Missouri, LLC will officially break ground for their 30 million gallon per year ethanol facility which will be located on Highway 20 West in Marshall, MO. Marshall is located in Saline County, the heart of corn production in west central Missouri. Renewable Power of Missouri has been working for over two years to complete the process of finding a site, obtaining all necessary permits, securing funding and reaching the point of beginning construction. General Manager Phil Danforth is pleased to announce that the plant will soon be underway.

Robinson Construction, located in Perryville, MO, will serve as the General Contractor, along with other members of the team: C.J. Schneider Engineering and Vogelbusch USA. The Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 beginning at 11:00a.m. at the site of the facility.

A feasibility study done a couple of years ago identified five areas in the state that would be prime locations for ethanol facilities. One of these areas includes the counties surrounding Marshall.

Danforth hopes to have dirt work completed while the weather is good this fall. he would like to see construction begin as weather permits.
